Page 12 Polite, kind & engaged Our Wonderful Year 7 This term we have welcomed our brilliant new Year 7 students into the college. We have been so impressed by their politeness , their kindness and their engagement in classes. We caught up with a number of our Year 7 students personally and spoke to them about their start with us at KEVICC. We spoke about making friends, feeling at home, their teachers, learning in class and of course homework! Here’s some of their reflections... I’m loving it here and am very happy. I moved from a primary in London over the summer but have found it easy to make friends. The first person I sat next to in class has become a good friend already. We often spend lunch times in the library, reading books and hanging out. The subjects I am enjoying the most are science, geography and English, which were my least favourite subjects in primary actually! Joseph, Year 7 student I came from St John’s Baptist in Dartmouth. I haven’t found the start at KEVICC nerve-racking at all. I travel in everyday but don’t mind that. The teachers at KEVICC really comfort you . It has been easy to make friends as we are all in it together. I have made loads of friends already! I am really glad I came here, I definitely chose the right school! Evie Grace, Year 7 student
