Courier Autumn
A wonderful start back Follow us @KEVICC Keep up to date with all our college and community news by following us on Twitter . I came from the Grove in Totnes. I have really enjoyed PE, English and maths since starting at KEVICC. I am getting loads of homework which is challenging me more than at primary, which I like. My teachers are all really nice. I am glad I came to this school. Hugo, Year 7 student I have been chatting to a large number of parents on the gate whose children started with you this year in Year 7 and they have been singing the praises of the school and your staff. Considering the challenges this year that you have faced, it is amazing how settled you and your team have made the children feel. Thought I would pass on a bit of loveliness. Charlotte Huish, Head of Dartington Primary I love it here! I came from Stoke Gabriel Primary with a few friends, but the year group and tutor are so full of nice people. I’ve met loads of new friends already. The teachers are really nice. My favourite subject so far is PE. Betty, Year 7 student Whilst this has not been a usual start of term in many ways, it has been a very rewarding one. Meeting and welcoming our new Year 7 community into the college has been a real highlight. Spending time walking around the Year 7 bubble and going into a huge number of their classes, I have been impressed by their attitude to learning and care for each other. The photos opposite are just a snapshot of some of the high quality work I have seen during my lesson rounds. Countless staff have commented to me and my leadership team how impressed they are with our new year group. Thank you for all your hard work Year 7 and for the support you have provided as parents and carers to help them accustom to life at secondary school. Alan Salt, Principal Page 13
