Page 28 Inclusion Astera's Art In this series of photographs Astera is learning about the work of Lyonel Feininger . He uses bold expressive colours and geometric lines and shapes so a great artist for Astera to learn about as she enjoys using bright colours. Here she is using soft pastels to learn about tone, and blending colours to make a wider range of colour on the page. There is also cross curricular work going on - learning new vocabulary and using a ruler to draw geometric shapes. Christine Higgins Making birdfeeders Heidi was very pleased with the bird feeders we made from recycled plastic bottles and black willow twigs. A drink bottle at break time and a take home bird feeder at the end of the school day! Heidi has more plans for recycled projects in the next half- term! Christine Higgins Art in town Nick and Ken took some of our brilliant student art into town this month, for display in the Old Bookshop. Thanks to Dartington Arts for making this happen!
