Page 12 Brilliant Remote Learning Quadrat Sampling with Y11 Ms Pickup's Year 11 biology students were set the task of carrying out an investigation into the abundance and distribution of a plant species in their garden at home (or in school in Maddi's case) - which is one of their required practicals. We have been so impressed by the engagement and the quality of our students' remote learning. Some of the work produced across all Key Stages has been fantastic. Here's a selection of some of our students' output... Above: Joe Eaton's feet and tiny quadrat as he measures abundance of weeds in the planter in his garden. Above: Michael Ringsmith's transect and quadrat sampling the weeds on his patio. Ella Wyett doing a similar sample of her paving and Joss Edwards-Teasdale with his quadrat and transect. Above: Maddi Richards sampling daisies and an unknown plant species near the Babbage head statue!
