Courier Summer 2021

Humanities Women's History Month As part of Women’s History Month Totnes Library challenged our students to submit a piece of work that celebrated their favourite women from the past and present. Ms Grainger’s Year 7 History class investigated the lives of people as far ranging as Cleopatra, Sacagawea, Rosalind Franklin and Jane Goodall. It was Pip Walcon-Adams’ in-depth piece on journalist Nellie Bly which stole the show however, winning her £30 worth of book vouchers. Congratulations Pip! Words by Sarah Grainger Page 34
