Page 14 Sports Day 2022 Another fantastic day for us in the PE world with our traditional sports day event of 2022. Amazing atmosphere and terrific sporting performances throughout which couldn’t have happened without so many staff and students helping with the organisation and event management on the day, so thank you to all involved. Final results saw Babbage defending their title with another convincing win with 1312 points. Second place were Scott with 1210 points and who last won in 2019. Third place went to Gyles with 1186 points and Davis took fourth place trailing just 7 points behind at 1079. The points are a culmination of house matches throughout the year and the sports day Athletics events. Special mention to the record breakers for 2022, Nia Harradine-Cole setting a new 300mYear 9 girls record at 45.71s, Rose Bruynseels setting a new Year 9 girls triple jump record at 9.52m and the Gyles Year 9 Girls Relay A team for setting a new record of 64.42s. Congratulations to trophy winners who will have their names engraved in KEVICC history. Trophies are awarded to Boy and Girl champions; these are the individuals within each year group who have won the most points overall on the day. This went to Hannah Wintle, Toby Albano, Rose Bruynseels, Janu Porter, Elowen Robson, Brook-Tyler Mitchelmore, Lara Gillespie and Charlie Bone. Trophies are also awarded for the best performances in various events including Boys and Girls 1500m which was Ethan Glasser and Rose Bruynseels, Boys and Girls 100m which was Janu Porter and Nia Harradine-Cole, Boys and Girls 200mwhich was Rylee Guess and Nia Harradine-Cole, Boys 400m which was Jonty Bartlett, Boys Long Jump which was Toby Albano, Girls High Jump which was jointly won by Nia Harradine-Cole and Eva Snow, and finally Junior Girls Hurdles which was won by Iola Murray-Brown.
