Page 20 Outdoor Expeditions Our expeditions calendar has started already. Every year we see students taking a lead in the Duke of Edinburgh accreditation and the Ten Tors challenge. Our expedition programme develops important disciplines and skills. Our young people learn how to be resourceful, they learn how to cope in challenging circumstances and build their resilience. Mr Earl leads the programme brilliantly... In September our Year 10 and 11 students took up their Duke of Edinburgh accreditation. The days saw students trekking and camping locally - in fact they camped up at Kennicott on the Friday night! As a community we really value these kinds of experiences as vital educational opportunities. It's great that our students get so enthused by them too. Jim Earl, Lead Outdoor Educator
