We are beginning our journey to become a ‘Rights Respecting School’. The Rights Respecting Schools Award puts children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK. UNICEF works with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. Page 23 UN Rights Respecting In November we secured our Bronze Status as a Rights Committed school. The feedback from our assessor was overwhelmingly positive. They told us our values and student-centred foundation are a secure start. Our strategic plan to becoming a Gold college was accredited by UNICEF. We now begin the next step of our journey: becoming a Silver Rights Committed college. Lucie Wagner, Deputy Principal
