KEVICC Courier Spring

P.E. KEVICC Football This term saw the start of the football season. With many fixtures taking place against Kingsbridge and Brixham all year groups have played some fantastic football and has seen a large number of boys taking part in their first ever football match for KEVICC. With the cup fixtures about to start the KEVICC boys Football teams are in a great place to hit the ground running. Some stand out performances in the games so far have been from Charlie Matthews, Josh Bond and Moss Annear to name a few in year 7, Charlie Shearer and Harry Chivall in year 9, Alfie Bond and Louis Howarth in year 10 and Finn Harvey, Aikin Hurd Thomas and Thomas Rogers all with outstanding performances in the first few fixtures. Kennicott Football Our Kennicott sixth form students came together to create a football team to take on a local school in our first sixth form football fixture in a few years! We hosted South Dartmoor playing the fixture on our KEVICC astro. Both teams played exceptionally well and demonstrated great sportsmanship and team work. Unfortunately our team had to rotate in the role of goal keeper as we were unable to find someone to play in this role for the whole game. This added a touch of drama to the game especially as a few of these players had not played competitive football for a while let alone in the somewhat specialised role of goal keeper! Lots of fun later, we did manage to win the game 3-2. Well done boys, look out for their next game soon. Carly Perring
