The Global Dimension flourishes at KEVICC

In October 2013 KEVICC was re-accredited with the International School Award for 2013-2016 in recognition of our many and varied connections with other schools around the world and of the way the global dimension is embedded in several curriculum areas.

During this period we are involving our students in an even greater number of projects that widens their understanding of different nations and their cultures. We will be doing this through many curriculum-based schemes of work, and collapsed timetable days where students spend a focussed amount of time looking at different aspects of the Global Dimension.

The International School Award seeks to celebrate, develop, recognise and accredit outstanding practice in the international dimensions of teaching and learning.

Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need to live and work as global citizens.
