Dance
Challenge Pathways ~ year 7 Performing Arts
SPRUNG is just around the corner! At the present moment we are
in the studio working our socks right off. Our annual dance show
is the highlight of the dance department’s year. All the students
have pieces from their practical exams to showcase and it is a real
celebration of all the hard work. All staff are verymuch encouraged
to come and see your students in a different light. Sometimes this
can be a revelation!

Year 7 students have been working very hard on their
Tiger
Who Came to Tea
projects. We are very lucky to have had
John Roberts in to run a series of puppet-
making and puppeteering workshops with
us. John has found time to show our students
not only his secrets of how to make puppets,
but also how to make them come alive. This
group of students are now putting their

new found puppetry skills in their own interpretations of
performances of
Tiger Who Came to Tea
which they are
going to perform to pre-schoolers at Rainbow
Nursery on Totnes High Street in March. We
are also going to watch the West End touring
production based on the same book, to see
how ours matches up...I think our students'
versions are much more high brow!!
